L’Oreal Pure Clay Face Masks and Foam Washes

Last year, L’Oreal Paris launched their first ever Pure Clay Face Masks and Pure Clay Foam Washes and a few months ago I picked up the L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Mask and the L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Foam Wash Green from Boots.

Each face mask contains a blend of three pure clays and a unique blend of natural ingredients to re-vamp your skincare routine and treat your skin to a little extra TLC.  I picked up the Pure Clay Detox Mask [£7.99], mixed with charcoal, this mask is designed to act as a magnet to draw out impurities in the skin.  The mask detoxifies the skin’s surface by cleansing pores and clearing up the complexion.

To apply the mask I use the Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush from the Core Collection set.  I apply the mask in a fairly thin all over my face, or focus on specific problem areas, such as my nose, chin and forehead.  L’Oreal recommend using the mask around 2-3 times a week, on clean skin and leaving to dry for around 5-10 minutes before removing with a wet towel or warm water.  The Black Charcoal within the mask draws out impurities within the skin, helping to eliminate imperfections and visible results after just one week of use.  I really enjoy using this mask, as it dries it noticeably tightens my skin and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and cleansed.  I shall definitely be trying out the Purity and Glow Masks in the future too.

Each mask contains a blend of three pure clays;

Koalin: ‘A highly effective natural clay, known to absorb impurities and excess sebum.’

Montmorillonite: ‘Rich in minerals, a clay recognised for helping to eliminate imperfections.’

Ghassoul: ‘A pure clay highly concentrated in minerals renowned to help clarify complexion.’

I also picked up the Pure Clay Foam Wash Green Purity [£5.99] which is one of their new gel-washes, for clearer and fresher skin.  This purity wash contains a combination of Eucalyptus extract and more pure clays to eliminate excess oil, impurities and reduce shine.  L’Oreal suggests applying the product a wet face both morning and evening, massaging in circular motions and washing off.  The foam wash is suitable for all skin types and after use I can definitely tell a difference in my skin.  Shine is visibly reduced and my complexion appears clearer with each use.  I can’t wait to try out the other masks and washes!
