Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash

Last month, Garnier released a brand-spanking new make-up remover, the SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash for both sensitive, and sensitive and combination skin.  I picked up the green bottled, combination and sensitive skin bottle, infused with grape extract that aims to remove make-up, and both cleanse and mattify the skin.

The product comes in a pump-dispensing bottle, which is fab as it makes it so much easier to use (and in my opinion, a lot more hygienic).  Garnier suggest applying the product to a wet face, including eyes and lips, and massaging in using circular motions.  The gel foams up and easily removes stubborn make-up.  When it comes to waterproof mascara, well that’s another matter entirely.  I hate rubbing my eyes to remove stubborn mascara, so I tend to opt for an oil-based remover such as the Garnier 2in1 Eye Make-Up Remover.

This gel wash works perfectly for removing the initial layer of make-up on my skin, but I personally prefer doing a deep cleanse of my skin to ensure all make-up, dirt and (hopefully) impurities are removed.  For just £3.99 [currently £2.66] I think it’s a complete bargain and a nice addition to my skincare routine.  And just one pump is enough to remove my make-up, and dispenses as a runny, clear and fresh-scented liquid.  I shall definitely be getting some use out of this gem throughout the next month, anything to make removing my make-up easier and quicker is a winner for me!  And last but certainly not least, this gel works surprisingly well when giving beauty sponges a deep clean.
