Christmas Day Make Up

Christmas Day is finally here and aside from writing cards, wrapping presents and planning food shopping, I really enjoy planning what make up I’m going to wear for Christmas Dinner.  This year (like many years previously) I’m going for a gold smokey-eye with a nude lip, basically my all-time favourite make up look.  I hope you all have a truly wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

For my base, I’m firstly going to prime my skin using the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer and then using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in the shade 2N1 Desert Beige and applying this using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.  To conceal under my eyes and any blemishes I’m using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in the shade Fair Neutral and blending that in with the Miracle Complexion Sponge.  With the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush I’m going to apply the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzer to the hollows of my cheeks and then blend that out, again using the Real Techniques sponge.  To set everything into place I’m using the NYX Translucent Loose Powder and a Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Brush from the Mega Set.  Using the Benefit Hoola Bronzer I’m going to deepen the contour a little and bronze up the rest of my face using yet another Real Techniques Brush, this time a cheek brush again from the Mega Set.  For blush, I’m using the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Blush in the shade Exotic Pink  (again with the cheek brush) before highlighting using my little sample of the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in the shade Moonlight with my fingertips to the tops of my cheekbones and cupid’s bow.

Onto eyes, using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to prime my eyelids before using the Morphe Brushes 35K Koffee Eyeshadow Palette to create a golden, glittery smokey eye perfect for Christmas Day.  To create a cute little winged liner I’m using the L’Oreal Paris Super Liner and then curling my eyelashes before applying Tanya Burr Individual Lashes and finally applying a coat of the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara to tie everything nicely together.  For my brows, I’m currently loving using the Giorgio Armani Eye & Brow Maestro in the shade 4 Medium Brown with the Real Techniques Bold Metals 202 Angled Liner Brush.  Last but certainly not least, lips!  My lipstick of choice this Christmas has to be the Candy K Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick as it has incredible lasting power and is such a beautiful shade.  And voila, make up complete… now to tuck into Christmas Dinner and enjoy the rest of the day.  I hope you all have a magical Christmas with either your families and/or friends!
