1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
For as long as I can remember, I have always thoroughly enjoyed watching The Santa Clause so I think that automatically jumps right to the top of the list. I’m determined this year to watch more Christmas films – like Arthur Christmas which yes, I still haven’t yet seen!
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas Eve, for the past few years, has been mine and my boyfriends mini Christmas, so we usually opened our presents for each other then. But typically we would all get together on Christmas day (not always in the morning) and open all our presents then.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Not really, I love each year for so many different reasons that none really seem to stand out all that much. I remember getting our first laptop many moons ago though which was pretty cool to be honest.
4. Favourite festive food?
Oddly, roast parsnips or stuffing, or Christmas pudding! I love all Christmas food…
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
This is a tricky one as I’ve loved all of the presents I’ve been given (from my parents and friends that is). I can remember being incredibly excited about getting a Nintendo Wii one Christmas though which I still love using.
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Mulled wine, either the drink or in candle form – it smells incredible. Cinnamon is also up there on my favourites list and of course not forgetting the heavenly scent of Christmas dinner.
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
As mentioned above, Tom and I sometimes open our presents for each other on Christmas Eve. But other than that it is usually preparing for Christmas day, watching films together and attending Midnight Mass at church (which is thankfully not always at midnight I might add).
8. What tops your tree?
For many, many years it was an angel, but this year we have a gold glittery star with a little bear sat atop one of the highest branches.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
There is probably something incredibly insane that I would have asked for but I would usually sit with a felt tip pen and circle things in the Argos catalogue along with Next and many other stores of things I would of liked to receive. In hindsight I probably would have actually not had an use for the majority of the things I circled, but as for specifics…. I don’t know – might have to ask my Mum on that one!
10. What is the best part about Christmas for you?
Spending time with friends and family, but also taking a break from ‘normal’ life. Eating delicious food, chatting for hours on end and giving gifts to those you love.
