It’s that time of year again – Christmas shopping! I absolutely love buying and thinking of Christmas presents for my friends and family but I also know how tricky it can be to find that perfect gift. These are a few items that I would personally love to receive for Christmas, but are items that I think would be great gifts for any of the women in your life (or even for yourself).
Starting off with beauty products. I think we all know by now how much love I have for Urban Decay products, they are well renowned for their eyeshadow palettes (which are incredible by the way) but also have some amazing bronzers, blushers and highlighters. The Naked Flushed Palette is ideal for channelling all of these great products into one palette, that also comes with a mirror. There are four different shade varieties to suit every skin tone and for just £23.50 you get three incredible products. What could be better?!
Fragrance can be a big hit or miss when it comes to Christmas, unless you know the person you’re buying for very well I’d tend to steer clear of perfumes as it can be a very personal choice. But that being said, if you know what they want then it can be a really thoughtful and wonderful gift to give. For Christmas this year I have bought my mum one of her favourite fragrances Calvin Klein Obsession Eau de Parfum [£24.99 was £68.00] (shush!).
For anyone, who like me, practically lives in comfy clothing then I would 100% recommend a pair of Joules Fab Fluffy Socks [£7.95]. They are super soft, cosy and warm, and would make a perfect secret Santa or stocking filler gift as well. For The Body Shop lover, their sets are brilliant presents this Christmas and not just for women either! This set is the Shea Beauty Bag (similar) and for just £10.00 you get a shower cream, hand cream and body butter. They are handy travel sizes and makes a cute secret Santa gift or stocking filler.
Sometimes the best gifts are the most inexpensive but sentimental, something as simple as a mug with an initial on can be a perfect gift to treasure forever (or until it breaks…oops). I found these in store at Wilko’s and I can’t for the life of me find a link to them anywhere online but there are numerous varieties that can be found at Etsy and notonthehighstreet.com. Filled up with some sweets, chocolates or smaller gifts and wrapped up with a cute bow is ideal for a secret Santa gift. (Maybe with a pair of Joules fluffy socks?!)
There aren’t many women that I know that wouldn’t love a candle for Christmas and the brand that does it for me has to be Yankee Candle. My favourite scent has to be Salted Caramel, which is now Sweet & Salty Caramel [large £13.00] (doesn’t have quite the same ring to it) but nevertheless, it is a truly mouthwatering scent. You can’t go wrong picking up one of their classic Christmas Cookie [large £21.99] candles… I am definitely seeing a theme here! The scent of vanilla quickly fills the room and makes everything smell just the more like Christmas.
For someone special who loves their jewellery, Pandora has got you covered. From rings, to necklaces to their signature charm bracelets, you really can’t go wrong! IF you happen to know that special someone’s ring size then a perfect present this Christmas would be a gorgeous ring, you don’t have to spend a small fortune on it either. This adorable Heart Stacking Ring is just £35 and makes a ideal present for someone you love this Christmas.
For someone who loves their premium, high-end beauty, they will surely love you forever with this Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette in Surreal Light. For £69.00, it is a bit of a splurge but I think it’s worth every penny. I love the Hourglass limited edition palettes and I was disappointed when I didn’t manage to get last years’ palette! Another beauty product that would be a perfect stocking filler is a ZOEVA Luxe Cream Lipstick, for £9.50 there are lots of beautiful shades to pick from and plus, the lid magnetic – there is something intensely satisfying about lipsticks with magnetic lids.
Something I have been using for a fair few weeks now is the Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream, which is now just £5.00 instead of £6.00. It smells heavenly of vanilla and gingerbread, and is very moisturising without being annoyingly sticky.
Finally, for the food lover a cook book is almost the perfect way to go. If you’re looking for an all-round winner I would suggest Mary Berry’s Complete Cookbook [£17.00 WAS £25.00] which has an incredible selection of over 1,000 recipes and is a must have for any cooking enthusiast. The recipes are easy to follow and very informative – even equipped with a few helpful tips if it all goes wrong. An all round winner!
I hope this post helps with any last-minute gift ideas. I tried to include a variety of products to suit all budgets and to cater to those of you who may have been struggling for what to get for your secret Santa. Keep your eyes peeled for my Christmas Gift Guide for Him coming later this week. Merry Christmas!
