It is almost the end of 2016 – where on earth has this year disappeared to?! (Although I’m kind of glad it’s the end of the year because I am super excited for Christmas!) So it’s time to get into my penultimate monthly favourites post of this year.
Tanya Burr Fairytale Eye Palette [£6.00], currently this has been my go-to eyeshadow palette and I have fallen back in love with it all over again. The shades are beautiful and well pigmented, just perfect for an everyday make up look.
Revlon ColourStay Concealer – Fair [£6.99], I picked up this concealer when (tragically) both of my Urban Decay Naked Concealers ran out earlier this month and I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I haven’t heard a lot about it and have never tried it before but coverage is excellent, it blends in seamlessly despite being a little too dark for my liking. For the price it is definitely something I will pick up again as I was definitely impressed.
Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick – Candy K [$17.00 – roughly £14.00 ish], dare I say that this is my favourite shade!? I have been wearing this lipstick a heck of a lot this month, in fact I’ve barely touched anything other than these lipsticks since they arrived. I promise I won’t go on but if you want to hear more then head on over to my Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipsticks blog post for a little review of some of the shades I picked up earlier this month.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge [£5.99], surprise surprise another Real Techniques product but this time a little different. I absolutely love using this sponge to apply my foundation and concealer, it applies so evenly and blends everything together so perfectly that I honestly don’t know quite how I survived without it in my collection. And for just £5.99 it is a much cheaper alternative to the Beauty Blender for £16.00, if you’re not sure whether you’d even like using it.
Real Techniques Mega Set [£40.00] – the ultimate Black Friday bargain! For just £40 from Boots, this set comes with every brush that you will ever need for your make up collection. I love Real Techniques products and so this was a purchase I HAD to make and I’m so glad I did.
Tresemme Expert Botanique Nourish and Replenish Shampoo & Conditioner [£5.24 each from Boots], these two products have been an absolute life saver for adding some well-needed moisture back into my dry hair. Plus I love anything that smells of coconut, it leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and smelling great (which is always a bonus!).
Stranger Things – Netflix, I know I am incredibly late on hopping onto the bandwagon with this series, but having only watched a couple of episodes I became fully engrossed and I really should get on with finishing it.
Joules Fluffy Socks [£7.95], I have numerous pairs of these socks simply because they are just so darn soft and cosy. I tend to get rather cold feet and so I practically live in these, even during summer. They make a perfect present for any friend or family member this winter and are definitely one of the best purchases that I have ever made. And as you can probably tell, this pair in particular has been worn to death and I am definitely in need of some new ones (hint hint Santa).
Coffee, a bit of an odd favourite but for someone who has gone months and months without drinking coffee I have found that a little caffeine boost is very much needed in my life right now. It used to make me shaky but now I am beginning to prefer it over my usual mug of tea, what has happened to me?!
Pokemon Sun (Nintendo 3DS) [£32.00], the newest of the Pokemon games with a brand new generation of Pokemon to catch. I truly love the Nintendo Pokemon games, and this one is just as addictive as the last. I chose Litten as my starter, if you have the game… which one did you choose?!
