3 Things I Should Do More Often

I’ll be one to admit that there are a fair few things that I should do a heck of a lot more often BUT as it turns out, I don’t… oops!  To celebrate the re-launch of my blog I thought I’d kick it off with a list of things that I should do more often (hopefully in attempt to actually get my butt into gear).

1. Deep clean my make up brushes

First reaction – ewww!  Hold that thought…  I DO clean my make up brushes regularly as the whole bacteria, goo and other nasty things creep me out a lot.  My problem is that I tend to opt for a quick clean (usually using the No7 Make Up Brush Cleanser) as it’s just sooo much easier and less time consuming.  But, I really should take the time out of my week to do a really good deep clean of ALL of my brushes.

2. Don’t worry about what everyone thinks, do it for yourself

I have struggled with this for a long time, always worrying what other people think of me and the things I do but all that’s about to change.  I started blogging a few years back and quickly lost the confidence in myself to continue, this time around I feel totally different and I’m doing this for me.  I am so glad I started blogging again, and with a new-found positive attitude, I can’t wait to see where this takes me.  Currently, I’m working on creating my own YouTube channel where I can ramble further about beauty products and try out a few make-up tutorials and D.I.Y.’s (similar to the content of this blog).  The two shall co-exist and I am so excited to get it up and running shortly

3. Let my hair done every once in a while

I think to a certain extent we’re all guilty of not cutting ourselves a little slack every now and then, I’ll put my hand up and admit that I don’t allow myself enough ‘me’ time.  Allocating even a few minutes in my day to just relax and refresh really makes a big difference to my attitude.  It gives me chance to put the kettle on (maybe even grab a biscuit or two) and put my feet up to just re-motivate myself.  I find it far too easy to fall into an endless cycle of procrastination and self-doubt when I stress about work 24/7.  Going outside for some fresh air, taking the dog for a walk or even a quick phone call to a friend is so therapeutic.  I’m also loving singing along to Little Mix’s – Shout Out to my Ex, I’m obsessed with it at the minute.

    How do you deep clean your makeup brushes? I got so frustrated with mine because every time I did a clease, the bristles would come out. I destroyed two MAC foundation brushes that way. So I stopped buying expensive natural fibre ones even though they feel great on my skin.
