Yet again, another month has flown past and surprise, surprise it’s monthly favourites time. The products that I have been enjoying using hasn’t differed all that much from last month, but I have purchased new products that have definitely been well used throughout October. So without further ado, let’s get cracking…
As always, I’ll start with the beauty products that I have been loving this past month. Starting off with the ever so faithful, Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation which I have in the shade 2N1 Desert Beige. This foundation is very high coverage and I think is one of the best foundations that I have ever tried. It applies easily and feels very lightweight on the skin despite being such high coverage! Next up, another Estee Lauder product is the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Blush in the shade 04 Exotic Pink – Satin. The colour of this blush may look very daunting in the packaging, but it gives a beautiful deep pink glow to the cheeks and can easily be applied lightly (I’d recommend using a duo-fibre brush) or heavily, for darker skin tones than mine. Because I’m quite fair skinned, it would look a little clown-like if I applied it heavily – not a good look! For brows I have rediscovered my love for The Body Shop Brow & Liner Kit in the shade 03 Brown & Black. I usually mix the two powders together and using a small angled brush I fill in any gaps in my brows. The powder lasts all day long and is so quick and easy to apply. I have been wearing L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick in the shade Eva’s Nude a lot during this past month, it is a beautiful matte pink nude lip that I think works really well with my skintone. The product is very pigmented and lasts well on the lips, I find that a lot of lipsticks usually don’t last very long on my lips at all. I will admit that I have a true obsession with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Eyeshadows, they are very long wearing and pigmented, and this month I have been reaching for the shade Metallic Pomegranate over and over again. (If you want a full review on these cream eyeshadows, I did a post on them a while back REVIEW: Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Eyeshadow). Finally for beauty, I have been using my recent purchase of the Real Techniques Bold Metals Tapered Shadow Brush to blend my eyeshadow seamlessly into my crease. I absolutely love Real Techniques brushes and I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to purchase some news brushes.
This past month I have fallen back into styling my hair a lot more than I have done for the rest of the year. I have been trying out numerous styling products and hairstyles but at the minute I am loving wavy hair. To do this I have been using the TRESemme Perfectly Undone Waving Wand Curler and the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray. The Unite 7seconds Glossing Spray has been a saviour when it comes to reducing the frizziness of my hair, it makes my hair super smooth and shiny. And it acts as an extra bit of UV and heat protection for your hair.
For random favourites this past month I have been obsessed with re-watching NCIS, my Mum and I have started right back at the beginning… I have a love for that program like nothing else! I have also enjoyed doing a lot more baking, fueling my tendency to comfort eat during assignment time. I’m gutted that Bake Off has finished but I am really excited for the Christmas specials to come out!
