Haul and First Impressions – Beauty & Shoes

To everyone’s surprise, I’ve been shopping again…oops!  And it would be wrong of me to not share what I purchased with you and give a quick little first impression at the same time.  So here goes nothing…

Firstly, for beauty I decided to purchase the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in the shade Desert Beige 2N1, after hearing so many great reviews about it I thought it was time to try it for myself.  The packaging is beautiful and simple, but is let down without the addition of a pump – which for me makes my first impression a little skeptical.  The coverage of this foundation is well known to be absolutely flawless and I can certainly agree, I will probably only use this foundation for special occasions and not on a day to day basis, despite it feeling rather lightweight on the skin.

Secondly, I picked up the Real Techniques Bold Metals 203 Tapered Eye Shadow Brush (which was the only brush I was missing from the collection).  This brush makes blending eye shadow into the crease effortless, so much so that I might have to get another to add to my collection!

And finally, I bought the Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream for just £5 in Superdrug after a recommendation from a friend.  Oh my goodness does this stuff smell sooooo good!  Fragranced with gingerbread and vanilla it is the epitome of Christmas scents.  The product itself is very moisturising (as I hate having dry hands) and the scent isn’t too overpowering but lasts well on the skin.

Whilst on the hunt for some more autumnal clothing to fill my wardrobe with I stumbled across the shoe sale section in my local New Look and found two incredible pairs of shoes that actually fit me!  I found a pair of faux suede black ankle boots for just £5 and leather-look tan flats with cute frills for £3…£3!!!  I also visited primark and bought another pair of simple black flats for just £4 as they come in handy for simple outfits and for the price you can’t really go wrong.
