So this is something a little different from what I have previously posted on my blog, my first outfit post! Autumnal clothing is definitely my favourite, layers upon layers of cozy jumpers and thick wooly scarves… and most importantly, I can wear all the stripes I please. For this outfit I thought I’d dig out my Joules Navy Turtleneck Jumper (similar), it’s a cashmere, wool and cotton blend which basically means it is incredibly soft and perfect for the colder weather. I paired it with a burgundy skater skirt I picked up from the New Look 915 Teens range a fair few years ago (similar) and some tights that I’ve had so long that I can’t actually remember where they are from! These are my go to black leather boots from New Look and I have almost…but not quite worn them to death (similar). They are so comfortable for walking around in and the wedge makes me a little bit taller which is always a good thing. I love wearing a statement necklace with rather a simple outfit, I got this one from Accessorize and as per usual I’m wearing my Rose Gold Leather watch from Radley, that again, I’ve had for years!
I love wearing this coat from Topshop, I bought it last year and haven’t looked back since. It isn’t something that I’d usually go for but I’m so glad I took the plunge and invested as it has become such a staple piece in my wardrobe (similar). On chillier days I will throw on my scarf and I’m good to go, this one I got from the Accessorize sale way back in January. For my make up, I just went for my everyday look (as mentioned in my Quick & Easy Make Up Routine post) and on my lips I’m wearing the Revlon Colour Burst Matte Lip Balm in the shade Enchanting. You can read my review about these lip balms here (REVIEW: Revlon Colour Burst Stain & Matte Lip Balm). Let me know in the comments what your staple Autumn/Winter piece of clothing is and why! I’d love to hear your responses.
BEHIND THE SCENES
I soon learnt that taking outfit photos wasn’t going to be the easiest task in the world – it is definitely a lot harder than it looks…especially when you have a jealous dog who wants to be the centre of attention 24/7!
