Some days I find myself in rather a rush to slap some make up on my face and run out of the door to get to work/university on time. Over the past few months I have tried and tested a lot of products and have finally managed to organise a few items that I know I can achieve a somewhat decent look with minimal effort – the dream!
I tend to skip primer and apply my foundation after moisturising, I’m currently using the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth Effect Make Up in the shade 10 Beige. I’m not going to lie, this foundation is rather expensive but I couldn’t imagine life without it. The shade matches perfectly with my skin tone, contains SPF 15 and applies effortlessly, giving an even and natural coverage. I apply this using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush from the Core Collection Brush Set. Secondly, concealer… I swear by the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Coverage Concealer for covering up any blemishes and my dark under-eye circles (usually from tiredness). I use the shade Light Warm for any blemishes or redness and the shade Fair Neutral to brighten and conceal under my eyes, again I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to blend this into my skin. To set everything into place I quickly apply some of the NYX Translucent Finishing Powder with the Real Techniques Bold Metals Tapered Blush Brush as it fits perfectly underneath my eyes. To bronze, highlight and add some colour back to my complexion, I use my trusty Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in the shade Streak with the Real Techniques Multi-Task Brush (sold in the Highlight and Glow Brush Set). Finally, to finish off my base and to ensure that my make up will last all day I lightly spray my entire face with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.
For eyes I usually keep it quite simple and draw on a small cat-eye flick with the Soap & Glory Supercat Skinny Eyeliner and whilst the eyeliner dries I quickly fill in my brows using the Urban Decay Brow Beater Eyebrow Pencil in the shade Warm Brown. Finally, a quick curl of my eyelashes and onto mascara. I’m currently using the Chanel Dimensions De Chanel Mascara for the first coat, to separate and lengthen my lashes before finishing off with a quick coat of the Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara to my top and bottom lashes to make sure my mascara stays in place all day long.
