To start off June in the only way I know best is to hit the shops and to treat myself! So without further ado, let’s get into the haul…
My first splurge was the Chanel No.5 Eau De Parfum from Boots and I’m obsessed! It is a timeless fragrance, a blend of florals, citrus and vanilla makes a beautiful scent. Obviously being a luxurious purchase I won’t be spritzing it on a daily basis but saving it for special events and date nights.
Also from Boots I visited the new NYX counter at Meadowhall, and despite it being absolutely swamped I managed to pick up a couple of bits to try out after hearing such great reviews from numerous beauty bloggers. I firstly picked up the NYX Studio Finishing Powder in the shade Translucent in an attempt to trial the ‘baking’ technique of setting concealer *fingers crossed that this works*. I also picked up a NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Buenos Aires which is a beautiful soft pink, on application the product isn’t drying at all on the lips and I was really surprised by the pigmentation… you may see more NYX purchases in the near future.
[Left to Right – Turn On; Streak and Sheer Liar]
As you all know by now, I love Urban Decay, it is a brand that I will continually purchase from till the end of time itself. I decided to treat myself to some of their lipsticks as they were just £9 this Bank Holiday Weekend and with an extra 10% student discount it brought the price down to just £8.10 from the normal price of £15.50! I definitely had to restrain myself and so I chose three shades that instantly caught my eye. I picked up the shades Turn On, Streak and Liar, and they are gorgeous shades… perfect for summer!
And finally, I treated myself to a Radley leather purchase in their sale (similar) as my current purse was getting a little worn out and I fancied a change and a different style. It is bright red which I love and has storage for all of my cards and bits and pieces that I keep in my purse!
All in all starting off June with a splurge was well needed and I can begin the month with new products to try and hopefully a new, positive attitude!
Love, Em x
