After a crazy month of writing assignments and revising for exams, I have finished my second year at university and I’m ready to get back into the world of blogging! Despite my absence I have definitely gotten through a lot of products during this past month and so I thought I would share with you my empties stash!
To firstly start with my skincare empties, I used up the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil which is something I had never tried before, with oily skin I chose to stay away from any oily products… however, I really liked using this product. Secondly, my beloved Shea Lip Butter from The Body Shop has finally run out! I will definitely need to repurchase this as it leaves my lips soft and moisturised as they tend to crack rather easily. I also used up the Soap & Glory Dr Spot Super Strength Breakout Clearing Gel which I was using to try and tackle the stress spots that appeared on my chin during the last couple of months. Unfortunately, I’m not 100% sure whether this product actually reduced the amount of spots I was getting but it did help to reduce the redness and longevity of the spots. And finally, the Boots Botanics Micellar Cleansing Solution which I applied after using a cleanser to remove my make up. This product helped to remove any make up that was left on my skin after cleansing but I didn’t notice any difference to the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.
For haircare, I used the Tresemmé Platinum Strength Shampoo and Conditioner which was in an attempt to yet again improve the condition of my hair. The combination left my hair feeling soft and smooth, but I wouldn’t say that it felt any stronger as my hair tends to malt quite a lot. Nevertheless, I would purchase this combination again! I also used up the Rituals Ayurveda Scrub which came out like a charcoal coloured scrub but smelt absolutely incredible! It’s a gentle clay scrub and left my skin feeling soft and smelling lovely throughout the day, definitely something I would repurchase.
To continue with the other bits and bobs I used up this month, I used up the Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm which helped to moisturise my hands because I absolute detest having dry hands, it drives me nuts! For £19 it is on the pricey side for a hand cream, however the product lasted a very long time and did improve the softness of my hands. Secondly, a few The Body Shop purchases. I used up both the Vanilla Bliss Shower Gel (limited edition) and the Satsuma Shower Gel which lather up really well in the shower and leave a lovely scent on the skin. I will forever repurchase The Body Shop products. Also from The Body Shop, I used up the English Dawn White Gardenia Eau De Toilette (similar) which is a fresh floral scent and is a perfect fragrance for spring. Finally, the Paul Mitchell Ultimate Color Repair Triple Rescue which is a spray that supposedly should preserve the life of coloured hair, improve it’s shine and manageability. With glittery bits in the product I felt like this product made my hair greasy and I don’t think I would purchase this product as it doesn’t suit my hair type unfortunately.
And that’s it for the products I used up this month! Looks like I need to hit Boots again and replenish my collection…
Love, Em xo
