Where on earth has March gone?! Easter is over and Spring has finally arrived so it’s time to dig out your T-shirts, dust off your sunglasses and pray for warmer weather! For this post I thought I would share with you some of the things I have loved during the month of March…
For beauty, I managed to narrow it down to just three products that I have been obsessed with using this month! Firstly, the Eyeko Eye Do Mascara
is a product that I have to admit I was rather sceptical about at first, it was rather watery…but as time has passed the consistency has thickened and this water resistant mascara has proven it’s worth during the rainy, drizzly days that March has offered us! Secondly, I have been loving The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder
in the shade 01 for fair skin. This bronzer is very natural looking on the skin and it just adds a bit of subtle warmth to the complexion without being too over the top!
For make up application I have been loving the Real Techniques Powder Brush
. This brush is incredibly soft and I have been using it regularly to apply my setting powder and the Honey Bronzing Powder as mentioned above! Real Techniques
brushes are great if you want to get into make up brushes, the sets are affordable and of great quality, I honestly can’t recommend them enough!
After using my hair dryer on a fairly regular basis during the Winter months I thought it would be a good idea to invest into some haircare products that would hopefully rescue my hair from its damaged and dry state! I picked up the L’Oreal Elvive Full Restore Shampoo
and the accompanying L’Oreal Elvive Full Restore Conditioner
and I am thoroughly enjoying the results. The duo leave my hair feeling soft and replenished as well as smelling great! I often struggle to find shampoos and conditioners that don’t leave my hair feeling greasy but this combination seems to tackle that issue and adds some strength and life back into my damaged hair.
For fragrance I have been spritzing the Calvin Klein Obsession Eau de Parfum
on myself almost everyday, which is why it is running out at a saddening rate! *sobs*
This perfume blends florals with spices and fruits, it almost smells like caramel, it is a fairly powerful fragrance that mellows to reveal fruity mandarin and bergamot orange! It is very difficult to describe a fragrance through a blog post so you’ll just have to trust me on this one…
Throughout March I have enjoyed repeatedly watching Disney Pixar’s Inside Out
which features a young girl called Riley and her accompanying emotions – Joy, Anger, Fear, Disgust and Sadness. I won’t leave any spoilers but it is a great film and I completely relate to the character Disgust… it’s uncanny!
Finally we get on to my random favourites from this month! Firstly that of Disney Monopoly Deal in which the aim of the game is to collect three property sets by drawing cards and stealing cards from other players. It is a quicker, more travel friendly version of Monopoly and is definitely just as addictive! It also features some of my favourite Disney characters which makes it all the more enjoyable!
My second random favourite is Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer for Nintendo 3DS. It is an offshoot from the original Animal Crossing games in which you design houses for the characters featured in previous games, it is great if you loved decorating your house but not so much if you found that part to be more of a chore! Animal Crossing is a series that I am totally obsessed with, the first game of which I played on GameCube many many years ago! I have since invested in Animal Crossing Wild World for Nintendo DS, Animal Crossing Let’s Go To The City for Nintendo Wii, Animal Crossing New Leaf for 3DS and finally Happy Home Designer! I hope they will continue to bring out new Animal Crossing games in the years to come… hint hint Nintendo!
I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into the things I have loved during the month of March and are looking forward to accompanying me through April and through many new blog posts! Keep your eyes peeled…
Love, Em x
