REVIEW: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Today I thought I would write about my favourite eyeshadows to use at the moment… the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette!  I am yet to find a product from Urban Decay that has disappointed me, I hope that day never arrives as I love their products, especially their eyeshadows and their Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer.

For £38, you get twelve beautiful neutral shadows, varying from matte to shimmer, you also get a double-ended eyeshadow brush which is full-sized and most importantly…not a foam pad on a stick!  Compared to the original Naked palette, it seems to be cooler in tone, with a selection of taupey shades rather than golden, bronze shades.  The packaging is sturdy and makes me feel a lot safer about travelling with it!  These palettes also come with a huge mirror which is great which is very handy and incredibly travel friendly!
My three favourite shades from the palette are definitely Half Baked (which is also featured in the original Naked palette), it is a beautiful gold with a bronze shimmery finish which goes well with my blue eyes!  Secondly, Tease which is a pale matte brown shade that is a great crease colour for blending any eyeshadow look together, you can easily build up the colour to have it as intense or soft as you prefer.  Finally, that of Pistol, which is a greyish-brown shimmery shade which is perfect for a more dramatic smokey eyeshadow look!
Despite the hefty price tag this palette will last for a very long time!  I love the formula of the eyeshadows and how they effortlessly blend together and it is really enlightening to find a palette that actually provides a half-decent eyeshadow brush and a large mirror within its packaging!  Before I apply any eyeshadow I always use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to prime my eyelids for shadow; it improves the longevity of the make up and helps intensify the colour.  My Urban Decay palette collection is definitely on the increase and I am perfectly okay with that!
I hope they are planning to release another palette soon, I am eager to see what shades they will introduce next!
Love, Em x
